Ingredients:

Prawns/Shrimp --> 30 nos. (small sized)
Onions --> 2 medium size
Coconut grated --> 3 Tbsp to 4 tbsp
Red chilli powder --> as per taste
Pepper powder --> as per taste
Coriander powder --> 1 tsp
Garam masala powder --> 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder --> 1/4 tsp
Garlic --> 4 cloves ( large)
Poppy seeds --> 1/2 tsp
Fennel seeds --> 1 tsp
Salt --> as per taste
Oil --> 1 tsp
Coriander leaves/Cilantro leaves

Method:

- Clean the prawns and de-vein them.
- Heat oil in a saucepan, add poppy seeds & fennel seeds and saute them until you get a nice aroma
- .Now add the finely minced garlic and when it turns slightly brown add the chopped onions and fry till golden brown.
- Add the prawns and cook them on medium high flame for about 3-4 mins.
- Reduce the heat and add the dry powders - red chilli ,turmeric,garam masala,pepper,corainder powder,salt & grated coconut.
- Mix well & cook the prawns till done.Keep stirring to avoid the mixture sticking to the bottom of the saucepan.If you feel the mixture is getting burnt you can sprinkle little water.
- Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander leaves/cilantro leaves.
