Prawn Sukke / Kolambi Sukke /Sungta Sukke

Ingredients:
--------------
            Prawns/Shrimp --> 30 nos. (small sized)
            Onions --> 2 medium size
            Coconut grated --> 3 Tbsp to 4 tbsp
            Red chilli powder --> as per taste
            Pepper powder --> as per taste
            Coriander powder --> 1 tsp
            Garam masala powder --> 1/4 tsp
            Turmeric powder --> 1/4 tsp
            Garlic --> 4 cloves ( large)
            Poppy seeds --> 1/2 tsp
            Fennel seeds --> 1 tsp
            Salt --> as per taste
            Oil --> 1 tsp
           Coriander leaves/Cilantro leaves

Method:

  1. Clean the prawns and de-vein them.  
  2. Heat oil in a saucepan, add poppy seeds & fennel seeds and saute them until you get a nice aroma
  3. .Now add the finely minced garlic and when it turns slightly brown add the chopped onions and fry till golden brown.  
  4. Add the prawns and cook them on medium high flame for about 3-4 mins. 
  5. Reduce the heat and add the dry powders - red chilli ,turmeric,garam masala,pepper,corainder powder,salt & grated coconut.
  6. Mix well &  cook the prawns till done.Keep stirring to avoid the mixture sticking to the bottom of the saucepan.If you feel the mixture is getting burnt you can sprinkle little water. 
  7.  Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander leaves/cilantro leaves.
